Ina-Garten
Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has been awarded Emmy awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. The show will run for 27 more seasons. Ina Garten began her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budget documents. In the beginning, she found her work interesting and stimulating however, she eventually lost interest and opened a grocery store that was called Barefoot Contessa. Her store was extremely successful over the course of 18 years until she decided to let it go. Then she began writing the first book. A number of other cookbooks and magazine columns came later. Another hit was the Food Network Television show. In addition, she sells a variety of product from cooking ingredients to storage and equipment. Ina is a self-taught cook who has never gone to a cooking academy, nor worked in an kitchen. She is known for her simple method of cooking, and her effortless take on entertainment. Her most popular recipes include the lemon chicken that she grills in a skillet as well as Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
